Economy Rent A Car

We had a great experience. Very good customer service. The Suburban we rented came with all terrain tires which was much appreciated in the winter. The vehicle was at 90k mileage but who cares, it did its job very well. Just make sure you call to request a shuttle pickup as soon as you start heading to baggage claim.

First off. This car rental company is not in the airport with the other rental companies. Second. They closed at 4pm on a Tuesday..Our reservation was at 2 but we were running late due to our flight. They called us while we were in the air to tell us they were closing... thanks. And third. I read on their website they have a no refund policy even if the reservation isn't used. So we lost out on close to $300 and had to book a car through Avis. I feel like we got scammed! We booked this through Priceline. Never again.

Awful experience. This is a rip off company - do not use them. I rented a car at a major US city and had come from abroad. When I arrived at the office, the team said they were a small family firm and I needed personal car insurance - this isn't normal for international car bookings as they're usually trying to upsell insurance. I checked their T&Cs and those said that primary insurance would be offered for international renters. They did not offer me any insurance and I had to leave without a car. I contacted Expedia (who I booked through), Affordable Cars (their small partner) and Economy Rent a Car and no-one would give me a full refund. I ended up making a charge-back via AMEX. Totally corrupt.

Worst experience ever with a car rental company. Finding their pick up location at the airport took over 45 minutes. They had one clerk (brand new on the job) at the desk when we finally got to their off site office. We had reserved a Camry. It was covered in scratches and dents and had 71,000 miles on it. It rattled and shook so badly that we were afraid to drive it. Worst car rental ever. Avoid this company. We believed their hype about it being a small family owned business. Lesson learned. Stay away from this car rental company.
