Economy Rent A Car

Shady business, shady people. Don't fall for the advertised rates which are very low: after you book and show up to their location, they force you to purchase their own car insurance policy which is $29.99 per day. That easily doubles your rental price. I had to cancel and incur a $125 cancellation fee. They also don't offer unlimited mileage and you can't drive outside Tucson. They say they are at Tucson Airport, but in reality they are far away and you'll need a shuttle to get there.

l had a great experience renting a car from Economy in Tucson, on Valencia near the airport. The manager, Claudia, and her staff were helpful and the car they provided was what I reserved and met my needs. Claudia was willing to give me a ride back to where I was staying near the airport after drop off, and I really appreciated that. I would definitely rent from this location again.

Claudia was very friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I got the right vehicle for my needs. The car was spotless, comfortable, and ran perfectly throughout my trip. Returning it was just as easy no long waits or confusion. They provided transportation as well. I’ll definitely be renting from them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, quality service!

DO NOT rent from this company. Read all the reviews. This company is horrible. We were going to rent a Car from Tucson AZ to drive to CA for Christmas. What a scam. We were told that to drive to CA it was an extra $170 to drive out of state. And on top of that, they didn’t offer unlimited mileage. Every car rental agency offers unlimited milesge. They offer 100 miles a day. See photo attached…it offered unlimited mileage, but when we were in their office, that changed. And to top if off, the woman who waited on us was the most unfriendliest person ever. She acted like we were bothering her by coming into the office. Economy is a horrible company. Save yourself the agony and go to a reputable car rental agency. You'll get better service and save yourself the inconvenience

I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to share this experience. I booked through Booking.com with the location set as Tucson Airport, but it is not clearly disclosed that Economy Rent A Car is not actually located at the airport. Their office is about a 10-minute drive away, which becomes a problem outside of business hours. I picked up the car at 9:00 AM and booked the return for 7:00 AM. When my flight changed, I asked to return it at 9:00 AM to match my pickup time, but was told this would result in being charged for an additional full day. Because 7:00 AM is before business hours, I was forced to use their before-hours drop-off and pay $15 for airport parking out of pocket. Extending the rental also cost $75 for one day even though my original rate was $40. Between the higher ext
