Emmanuel Auto Repair

Was going to not leave a review but I thought some people would benefit from this information. Emmanuel charged My Dad $40 Just to put the his car on the lift. They smile in your face follow some pretty shady practices. I've heard Emmanuel say things like "I'm the only person in Philadelphia who can fix (specific) of car issues." and "I would not drive this car another 5 miles before the wheels fall off" in order to make you spend your money there. Labor Prices are steep compared to other places and he has his adolescent son do some repairs too. That being said, work does get done but Prepare for your wallet to take a hit in the process.

I took my car to this shop for repairs quite of years ago. They did a horrible job. The owner was arrogant and disrespectful. I had to take my car to my regular mechanic to fix issues that his shop had caused. I filed a smalls claim for damages of $6oo. I eventually gave up on attempting to regain my losses as II was finishing my Nursing Practitioner degree and caring for my sick daughter. I had only used him because I lived in the area, had met his family (wife and son are nice) and thought him reliable. Also I wanted to help my people ...anyways, I now I pass-by his shop almost daily and I wouldn't let this shop fix a disengaged chain on my toddler grand son's training bike.I hope he hasn't scammed anyone else in the meanwhile.....Giving one star because I can't give none .. Shame on

Very dishonest. A lot of lying and price gauging. Had brakes and rotors done, son forgot to replace bolt in front drivers passenger side, car could not go in reverse instead of being honest and admitting the mistake he tried to tell me it was a ball joint, had another mechanic on the phone who informed him of the real damage. Emmanuel did replace the bolt in the caliber the car was able to go in reverse. Never admitted to the mistake. Oh of course I did not pay another dime!

I almost forgot to drop this well-deserved review and before reading anymore know that I only gave that 1 star so I can give the review. Besides the fact I told I will be charged $40 just to run the same basic test others provide for free just because I was using a visa there was an additional $5.99 added to that $40. I was given an estimate of over $1000 of work with a story to justify a whole bunch of irrelevance that was not necessary to my Initial need which was to stop my car form misfiring with a check engine light flashing’ though there were some truth in there explanation which needed maintenance to my car I said let’s do what’s necessary at the moment and I was still being quoted an amount of $1000. I drove the same car to a mechanic shop that I was more familiar with and paid
