I paid Gustavo (Empire transmission and auto repair) $5600 to rebuild my transmission 2 months ago and Gustavo assured me that I had 12 months 12,000 mile warranty on the transmission sure enough the day I picked it up the transmission overheated and left me stranded he offered to pick me up but I was in puente hills already and I said no thanks I’ll figure it out. Took it back him and he supposedly “fixed” it again and 1 month passes and the transmission is slipping and shuddering and leaves me stranded again with no forward motion on the side of the road on Mountain and Philadelphia. I and my brother took a standar transmission to rebuild it. At the beginning he said it was going to be ready in 3 days , my bro told him take the whole week. Later that week the work wasn’t done yet , he asked for more time to finish the job ok. Three weeks later nothing, that it was hard to fond the parts and one month later that he had an injure on his hand and couldn’t finish the job. Then we proceeded to asked him for the transmission and he blame my brother for leaving the transmission too long. In top of it the guy felt he was offended by my brother and to make story short he gave us the transmission disassemble and with a few missing small parts.
