Enterprise Rent-A-Car

If I could give a negative 5 starts I would. My husband and I had a rental while a collision center fixed his vehicle. When his car was ready, he returned the rental to the collision center with more gas in it than when he first took the rental. He even washed the car before returning it. An Enterprise rep completed a thorough review of the car. My husband was thanked for returning the car in the same shape when he left with it. He received a text a day later asking to give a review. He gave a great review. Almost 2 weeks past and I had not received my deposit. I called several times and they never answer the phone. Lies! Lies! Lies! Be sure to get everything in writing. Worked with Justin to get a rental, while car was in the shop. Was told multiple times the cost will be covered by the dealer. Called multiple times during the rental period and was reassured that this would not be out of pocket. 20 days later after turning in the vehicle, I got hit with a bill for $1670. Enterprise says they billed me instead of the dealer, and it will be fixed before following Monday. That also never happened. If the rental was not going to be covered then I would’ve made other arrangements, no big deal. But the constant reassurance that everything will be covered and then get hit with a bill is extremely unethical. Just be sure to get everything in writing. I rented a car from Enterprise in Princeton, expecting a Toyota Corolla, but was initially given a minivan. Despite being promised a size-appropriate swap by March 8, 2024, I experienced significant inconvenience and had to exchange the car at another location in Trenton due to its poor condition. Giving a 1* review but wish I could give 0. I have used this rental center a number of times, usually with no issue. However, on 8/15 I arrived at 2pm to pickup a minivan I reserved on 7/15 and was told they did not have any minivans or anything comparable to give me. The lot was basically empty. They stated they called me 2 days prior and left a message stating such however the only message I received was from the day prior calling to confirm and to remind me to bring in a credit card or if debit card I would need additional documentation. The desk agent stated there was a recall on some minivans and they tend to overbook reservations with the assumption some people will cancel and this was the reason I did not have a van.
