I was quoted $2,800 just to replace the radiator. The mechanic said the bumper and many engine components had to be removed and estimated 7–8 hours of labor. I decided to get a second opinion. Another workshop replaced the radiator in about 1 hour for $750 total. Based on my experience, this shop either overestimated the work significantly or lacks sufficient familiarity with German vehicles. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with major repairs here.
