Extendicare Maple View

This place has become quite filthy. Almost no care staff working here now. Or quite possibly the staff don't care. I see more of the staff outside smoking cigarettes then inside. Rooms and washrooms are absolutely filthy. We have to clean the washroom and our family members room every time we go visit. The mop water seems to only get changed once a day whether it needs it or not. That filthy wash water only gets dirtier from room to room and I can just imagine what was moped up in rooms previous.. Cups with mold left in the room. You should avoid bringing your loved ones here. The new building is very deceiving.

My mom was there for just over two years. She considered her caregivers a second family. They were amazing and took such great care of her. One even called her grandma. I knew that even on days when I didn’t visit she had in-house short visits by the staff. My brother and I can’t express enough our appreciation for the care they gave our mom.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of my father. <3 He has been there for about 9 months and everyone is so friendly and helpful. My father says that everyone Spoils him. :-) (How awesome is that?) Wonderful place!

I was at maplevew today and there were two ladies at there desks as i was standing there for over 15 minutes but would not come out to see how they could help me. I dread getting old and having people that don't care look after me . The management need some training to look after people .

Nothing but gaslighting and manipulation so many horrors since covid. I thought we stopped restraining people in the 80s.
