Fairview Transmissions

Transmission issues were identified in our 2021 Hyundai Palisade while getting an alternator replaced (longer story there). Local mechanic called Robbie with Fairview Transmission who came to pick up the vehicle to have his team assess the transmission. Based on their findings, it was recommended that the transmission be replaced or rebuilt. NOTE: this was later confirmed by Hyundai of Cool Springs. Robbie presented the most cost-effective solution and provided a timeline of getting the parts and work completed. We sought to have a second opinion from Hyundai directly. Robbie and his team understood and did not charge us for assessing the transmission. Great customer service and quick to help. Would be happy to give this team our business once we reach a decision. Great service @ a fair & reasonable price. Service your transmissions regularly to avoid expenses failures/ repairs. This place gets the job done. Great local establishment with honest repairs.

Extremely discriminatory. I think they intentionally take advantage of unsuspecting customers who trust in their “professional” opinion. I took my car for a second opinion and showed them the estimate done by Fairview Trans. I was told they added $2700 or so in unnecessary work, when it could be down for under $1000. I think the guy Joe, I believe, thought I wouldn’t notice because I’m a woman by myself and would just pay the inflated bill no questions. Do not recommend.

Charged me for parts that were never put on, and actually “fixed” the wrong thing, was told there was “confusion in their record keeping.” I’m out thousands of dollars and now don’t even have a running car anymore. They refuse to deal with me at all on the mistakes and loss. Do not bring your vehicle here.

Hopefully won’t have to see these guys again but if I do, it will be with full confidence. Excellent communication, clearly expert in their work. I tried to find a transmission place in Nashville for months before a reputable mechanic recommended Fairview Transmissions. Night and day experience from the very initial conversation. If you need a transmission, you need this place.
