Firestone Complete Auto Care

I was on my way home from work when l heard a whining noise and my battery light came on. I made it to Firestone to have it checked. The service advisor (Frank) said a hose “blew out”while they were testing the system. He said it was an inexpensive part to fix and that I would need a coolant flush as well. They knowingly damaged the coolant hose and tried selling me another service for $135. The hose connection was clearly cracked off and didn’t blow out. This was on top of the almost $1,400 he quoted me for an alternator, pulley, and belt. I reluctantly paid the $56 diagnostic fee after the incompetent tech damaged my vehicle. I declined all work and left. The tech drove my vehicle up and ran off. There was coolant everywhere. Didn’t even acknowledge me. Needless to say I fixed everything

I’m personally a mechanic but in car sales. sometimes I unfortunately don’t have enough time of day to work on my own vehicles. Had Brooke as my tech, really wonderful individual. I personally asked to speak with the technician who’d be working on my car because I like to know everything’s being done properly on my vehicles and I usually don’t trust other auto shops over my own work. That being said, Brooke did an absolutely amazing job on my M3, I got an oil change, 4 new winter tires at a lower rate than any other shop in the area and a wheel bearing replacement. I’ve been a long-time Firestone customer and have had multiple services done here over the years, including tire purchases, and major repairs. Unfortunately, my recent visit was very disappointing. I came in for a road hazard tire replacement that is still under warranty. The tire tread measured 4/32, which is above Firestone’s stated minimum requirement, and I also have documentation showing that I kept up with alignments and maintenance. Despite this, I was told I would need to pay a prorated charge, but the explanation was unclear and confusing. The associate, Tom, was dismissive and not very helpful, which made the experience frustrating rather than informative. I’ve been coming to Firestone in Orland Park, Il for years and have never had a problem. Always great customer service today 12/9/25 I returned after a year and a half only to meet a new staff. Frank (Store Manager) greeted me with a wonderful calm professional attitude and was ready to accommodate my auto needs. There was no long wait time. I will continue to come to this location as they are my Firestone Auto family.

I came in to replace my rear brakes because I was advised by dealership they were going bad. Because of my intuition, I went Orland Firestone. I didn't hear back from the team after dropping off the car. The wonderful team informed me that NOTHING was wrong with my front or rear brakes. I was totally fine! What a relief! I will be going back to the dealership to report them as they tried to take total advantage of me. Thank you Orland Firestone! I will be back. And trust me, you gained my respect.
