Finding a good, honest auto mechanic when you move to a new town, in a new state, is a necessity, especially when driving a car that is 16 years old with almost 250,000 miles on it, like mine. I was very fortunate to have found Floyd's Garage in Interlachen, FL. Every time I need work done I can always count on Floyd's to get the job done right, in a timely manner, and at a very fair price. I highly recommend this mechanic to anyone needing work done on their vehicle. Call ahead to make an appointment. He tends to be busy and for good reason.

My car was having issues shredding its serpentine belt. Husband replaced the belt at home and within minutes it was shredding again. Took it to a local auto repair shop to have it diagnosed and repaired. They charged $230, only to have the car shred the belt again literally pulling out of their parking lot! We decided to try another shop, and heard Floyd’s Garage was a good place to go. My husband explained what the car was doing and Mr. Floyd agreed to look into it. I was really impressed with how professional and honest Mr. Floyd was, and how quickly he was able to not only figure the problem out, but how quickly the garage was able to fix it. Down-home country hospitality. Did my breaks in the time they said they would. Very respectful. Owner made long distance call for me in order to receive additional funds for job (I was short). Accommodating. Breaks work great, no issues. Not expensive. Other shops were more expensive and a day wait to get in to the shop. I couldn't wait any day as I had to go to work in Gainesville and my brakes were absolutely shot. Awesome job, guys!

Very disappointed! I took my car here for a spark plug change and to replace the valve cover gaskets on my 6 cylinder car. I was expecting a normal charge of $60 to $100. The cost, $285. Floyd got me this time but in the future I will find a more reasonable mechanic or do the work myself.
