Fort Stewart Self Wash Car Wash

While being Veteran own and on Ft Stewart itself, you would think it has a higher standard than it's off base counterparts. Highly in need of deep cleaning. Washing stalls full of sand and dirt, just like the lot itself. Maintenance and cleaning would be crucial. The water pressure is quit low, and brushes flattened out and in need of replacement. Trash cans where clean. No wonder with, what was around the lot. Vacuums take change or cash only, but over charge or don't work. Gray ends of Vacuum hoses broken or coming off. On the plus side the vacuums seem to get more power with the ends being broken. This place is good for a quick wash at best, batter off with a bucket and sponge 🪣 🧽 on your own until it improves. Don't think I've ever left a one star review, but I don't know what else to do. Hopefully whoever owns the business sees this since the phone number is either not monitored or not functioning. Wash started off great. The initial time ran out while I was halfway through with my rinse. I swiped my card for additional time and the clock resumed, but the water did not. Every other setting on the dial functioned normally except for the 2 rinse settings (regular and spot free). It's like the car wash ran out of water. I called the number posted on the building and listed on Google 4 separate times; nobody ever answers and the voicemail isn't set up to leave a message. Ended up paying for a half washed car and had to take it off post to get the rest of the soap rinsed off.

Its Great now! This place made a 180 turn around recently. About 6 months ago This place was garbage: the bay and equipment was dirty, dated and or broken, the brushes were worn out, the soap and other fluids were empty. However, I reluctantly came back here in the new year, and was pleasantly surprised! They now have new machines that now accept credit cards, all the brushes look to have been replaced, and all the functions work and fluids are filled. They even installed a air dryer, though I still recommend bringing your own towels as it as is kinda underpowered..Still, the fact that they added one shows that they are trying to meet customer needs now. I will come back more regularly now.

Wash is easy enough to use and you can use your card to pay - they should add that feature to the adjacent vacuums that still only take coins/cash
