Unfortunately poor experience. Made my appointment for Friday, January 16th in December for brake pads, oil change and 30k mile service on my car. At the time I confirmed a 1:30/2 pm drop off. When dropping off my car, they stated that this was too late to drop my car off, when I informed them that was the appointment time I had originally made they confirmed in the schedule book, but stated that "they didn't highlight the time". I later got a call at 5pm that they were not able to work on my car because someone called out. I had a friend pick up my keys, and when I went to get my car later that night both the front windows were left down. I went to Fountain Street Auto based on a recommendation online and have to share a great experience there. I'll be returning- it's a relief to have a reliable, honest shop in the neighborhood. My check engine light came on with a downward arrow and I stopped in to make an appointment. The earliest available was in a couple of weeks, but they stopped what they were doing and, in the freezing cold, checked out the OBD code and reset it (after making sure nothing was dangerous). I returned for my appointment this morning, and after checking out my car, they determined nothing was wrong and didn't charge me for their time. I'm especially grateful because I don't think most mechanics would have helped me like they did when the warning first appeared and I wouldn't have been able to drive. Than

I had a problem with my brakes on 76 and decided to give them a shot since I wasn't super close to home. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted and helped. The manager quickly came out and assessed my car and guided me through the steps to safely get home. He then recommended a mechanic close to my house who would take good care of me and even said approximately how much it should cost, and what prices would be a ripoff. When I tried to pay a diagnostic fee or hand him the $20 in my wallet, he refused and was just happy to help. I can’t recommend fountain street auto enough! If you live anywhere in northwest Philly, this is the spot!

I can say without hyperbole that these guys are the absolute best. Brian and the crew have been taking care of my entire family for years. They are honest, skilled, professional, reasonably priced, and kind. 100% would recommend.
