Fox Rent A Car Burbank

The rental office is housed in a building along with other rental car agencies that is about an 5-10 minute walk from the baggage claim. I generally like using Fox Rent a Car if need a rental car during my travels because they generally have the best prices. I expect them to have no frills and no thrills, but this location is lacking with service. Not sure if they are short handed due to the holidays, but when I showed up to pick up my rental car just after 9am (they open at 6am), there was no one at the desk. There was no sign that stated how to get a hold of anyone. I made a reservation for a mid-size car back in April. When I got to the desk IN NOVEMBER, I was informed there was no car for me and I'd have to wait an indeterminate amount of time for one to be returned. There wasn't any kind of estimate for my rental to be ready, despite having the reservation made LITERAL MONTHS in advance. I was offered an upgrade--at a whopping $40 more a day. $40 more per day for something that isn't my fault? Ridiculous. I pushed back and the guy at the counter gave me half off the upgrade, which I took because I just wanted to get into a car and get where I needed to go, but honestly I should’ve fought harder for no charge. Hi Lisa, thank you for not being customer service friendly. You really are not the greatest at your job. Never had any issues with other car rental companies before but FOX is the worst, including Lisa. I asked to speak with a manager and she insisted Josh was at lunch, waited over an hour and she said the same story. We spent our well earned hardworking money at another rental company right next to it (literally). Shoutout to AVIS! You guys rock, thank you for taking care of us when FOX wouldn’t. Adel was super friendly and helpful. I bring up my experience with Tim. Not so much for myself but seeing him walking through the customer before me who clearly had not had a lot of car rental experience -- his patience and demeanour clearly helped make that customers experience better. As for my experience -- Very high touch and fast service both in registration and in grabbing my car.

I had a great experience. Jesus was knowledgeable and patient, even helped me get a no cost upgrade to accommodate a last minute traveler in my vehicle. Vehicle was clean and well maintained. I will use Fox again.
