I thought I was getting a good deal, until I bought a new car and shopped around. I called to remove coverage from my Nissan and obtain a new insurance policy on my Mazda. First off the lady said I couldn't do anything over the phone and that I'd have to come in. So I asked what my payment would be on my new car. I gave her the VIN number and she said my insurance would go up $12 a month. What?? I was already upset because I couldn't do anything over the phone, so I told her nevermind and hung up. I called around to a few places and ended up with Farmers. Not only did they save me $64 a month for more coverage and less deductible, I was able to do everything over the phone in less than 20 minutes. This is how a business should operate. Lazy freaking manager, doesn’t take calls and sounds like she’s so focused on her phone or something, I’m starting to see things from these reviews, and seriously considering taking my money elsewhere!

Rates are reasonable, but there are better deals out there for more coverage. I don't like that they call every day and bother 5 or more days before payment every month. They also don't like to payout on most accidents.

Been with Fred Loya since 2009, never had a claim until this year for hail damage. The claim service has been a disaster. they allocate a time for car rental based on the body shop's mechanic (which is fine), but if he goes over that initial specified time he guessed on, you have to call and have the time extended. While you are on hold, the insurance will call the body shop, in my case the parts were not in yet, so the insurance asked for the part suppliers name and number and all the details of the part. So they called the supplier to check when the parts will be delivered - now mind you the mechanic still has to install the parts, but they again made a decision on the delivery date of the parts to ok the rental extension based on the delivery of the parts not the mechanic.
