Free State Auto Works

Ran into an issue while working on my daughter's Jeep. Searched around Lawrence for someplace I thought I could trust. Found Free State and spent time talking with Brian. Glad I did, found the best shop in Lawrence (and likely the surrounding area!) They are busy (good for them!), but when I was able to get the vehicle in, they were able to diagnose and fix it without any issues. I would highly recommend them to parents of KU students that need someone they can trust their kids' cars with.

I have been to a lot of auto mechanics and this is by far the best I’ve been to. They were honest they kept me informed they worked with my warranty company. They replaced an engine for me with the correct way, because I went to several mechanics who could not do the job, right? I highly recommend them and I will continue to take all my vehicles to them. I have used Brian at Free state twice now for two different occasions on two different vehicles. They’re typically pretty busy, but for good reason. They do great quality work, and are some of the most straight forward, informational, and trustworthy guys around. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The service and professionalism is superb. It’s rare to see auto repair run by friendly people with such commitment, dedicated to transparent, honest service and expert care. Do yourself a favor and get anything from these guys. I cannot understate how appreciative I am of their work and wish I found them sooner.
