G & K Automotive Conversion

I contacted them to explore the possibilities of importing a Canadian motorcycle. The fact that my case wasn't resolved is beyond their control. However, communicating with them was extremely difficult. I had to follow up repeatedly, and the information they provided was inaccurate. Before contacting them, I therefore advise you to thoroughly verify their expertise in your specific situation and to be patient.

I couldn't be more grateful for what these guys did for me. They brought my 1992 Honda NSX to CARB compliance within the time they originally estimated. I picked up my car and drove it straight to my local DMV. They handed me license plates right then and there.

$13k scam. 1. Told me the California emissions conversion would take 3-4 months, nope, took 18 months and I never received an update from them once. I had to email them every three months to find out the status of my car. 2. I replaced my rotor, distributor cap, spark plugs and cables before turning my car over to G&K. If you look at the pictures you will see an invoice for all those parts NEW. I will tell you that the $110 distributor cap they installed was NOT new and had a broken piece of plastic on the body and the spring that keeps the post in contact with the rotor was rusted through and broken. 3. Unfortunately this is the only company in the State of California that can convert a Grey Market vehicle to become California emissions compliant. If you can register your vehicle

I most definitely would recommend G&K. The staff is communicative, professional and got the job done. They have set prices depending on your import vehicle clearly listed in their website. I would suggest anyone interested using G&K to fully read their website as it has instructions (e.g., types of modifications that will not be accepted). I was good with the pricing for the work to be done on my 1998 Honda Civic EK9. I had to change out some parts before dropping off my vehicle. Of course, if I did not like the price, I have the option to walk away. So anyone complaining about the price there should not be an excuse for that. Once I dropped off my vehicle, I checked in a few times via email and always got a response on the status. I was told it could take 2-3 months to complete.

G&K know their stuff. They took my Canadian made Lexus and turned it into an American Lexus. G&K provided all the documentation DMV needed to show it was imported and DOT compliant. Very nice folks, professional, helpful. Love these guys. Highly recommend.
