Galpin Honda Service Center

The service will vary here depending on who is your mechanic and who is your advisor. I took my wife Civic here in the past for an oil change and the advisor we had was bad. I believe he no longer works there. I also took my old Accord here before and the mechanic somehow scratch the bottom part of my bumper so the dealership had to fix it. They also had to give me a loaner car for a week. I usually avoid taking my 2017 Accord here because they charge pretty high price for their services but I took it today to do a transmission fluid change since it was the cheapest quote from all the other dealerships I called. I normally dont leave any reviews but this last visit I had at honda on this Monday that just past, I had a concern of my car smelling like transmission oil. I had recently changed it a couple of months back. Everytime I open my car my whole car inside smells of transmission. I have children in my car smelling this. I took it and I was attended by the advisor Mathew Hollis. They checked their work said it has nothing to do with their work. He then told me if I wanted to get it further inspected I had to pay 240$. At that point I was desperate, my kids should not be inhaling that smell. It gives me headaches. So I agreed to the charge. He then advised it would take 2-3 hours to get checked. They called me within 15 minutes to tell me they didn't find anything. Mathew had the audacity to say

EDIT2: I went to Honda Van Nuys and they actually did the work I asked. You can find my full review on their page but suffice to say, they have earned my business and Galpin has lost mine. EDIT: I reviewed my dash cam footage and it confirmed that the Service Department, specifically Ricardo Contreras lied to me. When reviewing the dash cam footage, what I see is the following: - 8:09 AM - Car moved into a parking spot presumably to wait to be serviced - 8:46 AM - Car moved into a repair bay and then car was shut off (if they did any work here it would had been done without the engine on) - 9:11 AM - Car moved out of the repair bay into a parking spot - 9:26 AM - Car moved into a different parking spot where it did not move from this point onward - 11:30 AM - I sent a text to Ricardo ask

I bought my Honda civic from Galpin Honda about three years ago and have been using their services for maintenance on my car the whole time. This dealership, parts department and service department are amazing. Specially, Sarkis at the service department takes care of all the preventative maintenances, repair issues and makes sure that work is done correctly and does not charge extra stuff. Exceptional service from Sarkis and Galpin Honda thank you sooooooo much!

I usually get my service here, and usually the service is okay, I don’t expect much when I get my service done. Today I had a flat tire, and took it in. I had some questions because I’ve gotten a flat tire before, and they’ve replaced it. This time, they patched it and I asked the technician why if last time the nail was in around the same area and they replaced it. The technician (Alex Perez) was very rude telling me that he would’ve made more money replacing it, instead of trying to help me understand. I don’t know why he thought that would be a good thing to say to a customer, it was very off putting, and honestly caused me to want to go to a different Honda.
