Gerber Collision & Glass

I was involved in an accident right before Christmas. The owner/ manager (can't remember his name) was incredible. The towing company I dealt with tried to drop my car off at an unapproved location. He made sure they dropped it off where it needed to go. When I needed to have my car claimed by my insurance company (it was totaled), the insurance company put pressure on me to collect my belongings immediately so it could be claimed. When I called Gerber to explain, the owner/ manager said he would not authorize the move until I approved it and to take my time getting my belongings. Great service all around!

My car was involved in a hit and run. There was damage was done to the entire left side of the vehicle from the front to the back. Lots of people told me my car was probably going to be totaled. Chris from Gerber Collision called me upon getting my vehicle. He assured me he would give me updates weekly. He kept his promise, but I still had a major concern. My car is a very distinctive blue and I did not want to get it back any other way. Again, Chris assured me that my car would look like nothing ever happened. He was right! My car looks and feels new. Chris and the staff at Gerber took very good care of my car and I am grateful. I highly recommend Gerber Collision.

My experience with Gerber Collision on Huron street Chicago started off fine, but quickly turned into a very frustrating process. I dropped off my car after a theft for repairs on two broken front windows and scratches on my passenger side doors. Chris, the service advisor, was helpful and professional at first. When I came to pick up my car, the windows looked good, but I immediately noticed my passenger door handle hadn’t been painted and still had white paste on it (my car is black). Chris admitted it was overlooked and promised to have it redone. Then, when testing my windows, I found that the front passenger side wouldn’t work from the driver’s controls, even though it worked before the repair. My parents had a good experience here years ago, but something changed. They were so difficult to do business with throughout the entire process of a simple bumper replacement. Most notably, a Gerber technician caused an additional $1,300 worth of damage to my vehicle that the Chrysler dealership had to repair. The dealership said Gerber caused the damage, and Aaron, the manager at Gerber, accepted responsibility for it. He promised me a reimbursement and updates; it’s been weeks and no response. Now when I call them for updates, I can call 4 times in a row and no one picks up the phone at Gerber until I use *67 to hide my caller ID. Only place in Chicago I'd ever trust with my car, Chris as always is the GOAT and the staff at this location are always courteous and communicated with you when there are delays, I will continue doing business with them
