I visited this autoshop for preventive car maintenance notably transmission fluid, brake fluid and engine coolant fluid change. I was lucky to get an appointment the same morning and the lady at the reception was very helpful. Although I live a bit far from the shop, I drove to this location. The service was done well and I left as a happy customer. Price wise, this shop is part of the few that are present on Groupon and I was happy to find some coupons there which allowed my car to keep running when $$$ is low. I had no issue there, again the lady took care of everything. I think they have Wi-Fi and a clean customer restroom which are all appreciated.

I came here for a transmission fluid exchange and coolant change on my 2021 Toyota Venza. They did use OEM Toyota transmission fluid, which I appreciate. However, the coolant situation was unacceptable. They were about to put in a European G13-type coolant that is not compatible with Toyota systems. They also didn’t have Toyota-spec coolant in stock, so I had to buy the correct one myself. Even after that, they struggled with the coolant bleeding process because they didn’t know how to put a Toyota hybrid into maintenance mode. I had to show them how to do it just to get the air out properly. It makes me wonder how many Toyota vehicles have left this shop with the wrong coolant or improper bleeding. Nice small garage in Gaithersburg/Olney area. Very fair pricing and nice people. Labor rate far below any dealer service. Additionally if you want to buy your own parts, they will install them for you. Just double check they are correct before you go. They will also supply parts at a smaller margin than a dealership so you do not have to bring your own. Since it is a smaller shop it is best to make an appointment.

I can’t recommend “Global Motors Garage” enough! I took my 2019 Mazda CX-5 there for a break change and a rear break light change. The staff was very friendly and got me in quickly. They explained the services clearly and provided a detailed quote beforehand. The work was done efficiently, and my car is running smoothly. The shop was clean and well-organized. I was impressed with their professionalism and fair pricing. I would definitely recommend the Global Motors Garage for anyone looking for reliable car maintenance place.

I would not recommend this shop to others. I paid for a Groupon for brake pad replacements. Instead of first doing a proper inspection and letting me know that the rotors also needed to be replaced, the mechanic still replaced the pads instead of rescheduling me when all parts were available. He indicated that “the rotors were beyond salvage” but still changed all four pads? It lacked integrity and no proper mechanic should have sent a customer back onto the road once they’ve noticed the conditions of the brakes. Despite that, the work was done quickly. However, I will be not be returning.
