Golden Pond Retirement Community

As a traveling band, we’ve had the opportunity to perform at Golden Pond twice over the past year, and each experience has been excellent. The staff consistently show genuine care for the community residents, and they are incredibly welcoming and show remarkable attitudes. The Activities Director, Heather Murdock, brings real passion to her work. She prioritizes events that encourage meaningful engagement with the residents, rather than ones that simply “fill the time.” We’ve been honored to be included as such entertainers for Golden Pond and have always felt valued. From our experiences, Golden Pond has done a remarkable job of prioritizing an intentional experience for both their residents and guests.

I was able to participate in a community tour and the warmth and attention by all the employees created a very positive experience. The feeling of “home” and “genuineness” truly came out and I would recommend Golden Pond to anyone considering a new experience.

My mother spent the final months of her life at the Golden Pond and the staff did a good job of caring for her. Thanks to the staff's support, we were able to keep my mother out of a nursing home and she was able to die in her apartment under hospice care with my father in the same unit.

My mom has been a resident at Golden pond retirement community receiving assisted living support for over a year. She was recently hospitalized and went to skilled nursing and has finally returned home. And home is what this place has come to be. So the building may be a little older it's charming and homey. Her apartment is a full-sized one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen minus a stove. However with three meals a day she doesn't need her kitchen beyond the refrigerator and microwave. The food is overall outstanding, with a variety of specials and choices available. There is always fresh fruits and salads available and often fresh vegetables. Last night's grilled asparagus with olive oil and seasoning was crisp and delicious. But what really makes Golden pond stand out is the staff.

My mom,Dolores, has been at Golden Pond a little over a year. She absolutely loves it! It’s conveniently close to my house and I’m able to visit often. Before she moved in to Golden Pond we checked other facilities and just didn’t feel like they were a good fit. Golden Pond was comfortable right from the start! Thanks to the Staff for all you do, it has a big impact on the residents!
