Goleta Transmission

I've had them perform a few jobs for me over the years with mostly satisfactory results, but they really did me a disservice on the last. I paid for a differential rebuild. They changed the bearings and seals, but failed to replace the worn out ring and pinion gears and entirely missed the failed limited slip differential. When I returned to have the transmission serviced (about 8 months after having the diff rebuilt), I asked about the noise the differential was making, and they diagnosed the ring and pinion gear, and even said then "Why didn't we do that when we rebuilt it?" In any event, he offered to do the repair if I bought the parts. I bought the parts, and when I tried to make an appointment for the repair, he never had the time. I have a 2013 F150. I'm still having issues with my transmission. Had it completely rebuilt. It started having issues 15 min after I left. They have a warranty on their work and I went to a shop in Ventura that the warranty company provided since it was close to home. I had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic and the recommended 5000 mile flush since the shop could not find anything wrong . After I had transmission looked at and serviced still has a problem. Real Hard down shift 4/3 gear randomly shifts and flutters, it's rough. All I can say is we payed good money and approved any work they recommended to have done and truck is still not right. First time into the shop, they were able to diagnose and solve an issue with both the drive shaft and transmissionn that was making our service truck undrivable. They made the fix the same day and got us back on the road. We really appreciate their professional service!

Helpful, honest, treated me with respect. Thomas took the time to explain everything. My mechanic had referred me and I'm glad I took my Ford Edge there to be serviced.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLASSIC CAR HERE - These guys cant change out a broken shifter cable. Came to pick up the car and the shifter wouldn't go into gear and the indicator was not even close. They tried to blame it on the B&M shifter (It worked fine for ten year's before that). So, they don't check their work before delivering. And they charged 2x the price for the cable and got all whiney when I called them out for the markup. Nothing but pushback and finger pointing from this place, extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Maybe ok if you have a newer car that can be diagnosed with a computer but I wouldn't come back here again.
