This is NOT a place you want your loved one to live; Shingle Creek floods!! My mother was there for hurricane IRMA 2017 and hurricane IAN 2022. My mother lost all her belongings and years of countless memories. Unclear, what transpired but my mother would have NEVER moved back if she had known there was still a potential flood risk. The most vulnerable in our community has suffered from gross negligence

Do not allow your loved one to live here!!! My parents lived there until Hurricane Irma hit and they lost their apt. A large portion of the property floods repeatedly during hurricanes, which is a KNOWN issue. The “Christians” who run this organization do not mention this information when they rent to these poor old souls. When Shingle Creek floods, the water treatment facility then floods, and raw sewerage backs up through toilets into residents homes. Next comes the contaminated flood waters. Finally the GSS information line voicemail fills up, Facebook responses contain no information, and residents are left to find shelter while mold grows on their belongings in their flooded homes. Repeated again during Hurricane Ian. AVOID!!!

My father moved into Good Samaritan in 2019, sadly he passed away in March 2021. He met lots of friends and never felt alone. I visited the facility after his passing, and met all his neighbors and the staff. Everyone was very helpful and kind. My father always had something to do. Whether it was driving his golf cart, playing bingo or domino’s or attending any of their activities. He was very happy at Good Sam's. I truly recommend this place. It's a very close knit community. I wished he had more years here. Thank you Good Samaritan.

Beware of flood zone! The property is beautiful, however the flooding that occurs with hurricanes with require mandatory evacuation of residents with hurricanes. The damage from Hurricane Irma destroyed my moms place leaving her nothing. Everything was destroyed. Thankful and blessed she has her family however, nothing will replace the family treasures she lost in her home... contact with Good Samaritan was difficult at best, be aware of your loved ones that may reside here. This comment was made well over 2 years ago and ( as was Hurricane Irma) The comment finally updated when Good Samaritan responded 2 yrs after I posted! Disgraceful.. The health and welfare of residents was not addressed during the evacuation. Residents were loaded last minute on to a bus (non wheel chair friendly)and

My wife and I determined that we needed a Progressive living environment as we entered our twilight years. We visited Good Samaritan Society Village and were Awe-struck!!!! This property is unbelievable. The choice of living accommodation s are varied so as to fit any budget or living style. Back to our visit, we were expecting a 25 cent tour but instead were given a $5.00 tour by Bernice. Kaz was our property coordinater. Both people are "over the handle bars" as to helping with information and details. Outstanding experience. We will be moving to our Courtyard Villa around Dec. 15th. Come look us up and be our neighbors.
