Last summer, I bought a Four-Wheel Drive International Harvester Scout II from the owner of Grand Ave Auto in the La Presa area of Spring Valley from the owner Francisco. He told me it was a 1972 model year (pre-smog) that the previous owner had never picked up. He said the car needed quite a bit of work, including brakes, transfer case, tune-up, carburetor rebuid, electrical work and body repairs. He agreed to repair everything if I purchased the vehicle, which I did. I gave him $3800.00. Several repairs had to be sent to other local shops, including J & J Automotive and Border Parts.
