Grant Village Auto repair

Our car ran into some trouble when we pulled over to avoid a herd of bison, and with low clearance went over a rock on the side of the road. The car began making abnormal noises. Mason and Ashley at Grant Village Auto Repair were extremely courteous, provided great support and looked into the issue promptly allowing us to continue our exploration of the park relatively uninterrupted. Mason found the culprit very quickly- a bent support around our exhaust pipe and was able to bend it back into shape within half an hour. Prior to their assistance I was very nervous about driving the car the additional ~12 hours to return home, but these guys were patient and provided the quality work and reassurance for which I am very grateful. When visiting the “Old faithful” I returned back to my car which was smoking, like crazy. (I left it on and running with AC for my dogs) Luckily we were stopped here and not elsewhere in the park as Grant Village Auto Repair was walking distance! Being two young girls and their dogs on a road trip we were quite weary of going to a mechanic and feeling taken advantage of but that was absolutely NOT the case here. The mechanic (Vinny) was out on a tow so we had to wait. The staff (Andrew, Veronica and Darian) were incredibly kind to both of us and the two dogs - they gave the dogs water and let them hangout in the corner of the store as it was so, so hot out. Needed an oil additive, they had it, it was a little pricey, but that's to be expected in the park (many, many hour drive to go get it at wally world). They were some of the friendliest mechanics I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

We had Ashley as our mechanic, and after driving in the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA she is by far the best mechanic we have ever had. So friendly and fixed our car where other mechanics haven't been able to. If you have a chance to make it here, you will no doubt have the best experience and she will get you back on the road in no time. Thank you!

Ashley absolutely saved our entire trip. I cannot convey how much of a positive experience we had at this mechanic. My partner and I had an unforeseen crisis on our roadtrip, and needed ratchet straps to secure our rooftop camper and carry on our way. However, there was no where to buy them within (at least!!!) a two hour radius. We stopped at this shop in hopes of buying a set of ratchet straps. However, they did not keep them in stock. Yet, Ashley went out of her way to help us out. She sold us her own set of unused ratchet straps, given that we buy the same set through Amazon and ship them to the shop. This small gesture easily saved our trip, and helped us get where we needed to be. (And this shop now sells ratchet straps!) I can’t stress enough how much Ashley’s willingness to help
