Grease Monkey

I have been a customer of this location since I moved to this neighborhood 18 months ago. I was two blocks away with a flat. I had a screw in my tire. I have had a patch done at this location before. I pulled in to get help and they told me the guy who could help wasn’t in. Then they said because I drove on it, they wouldn’t help. I asked if someone could help me at least get the spare on since I was SOL, they said no. I suppose they didn’t owe me service, but they do employ the type of men who stand and watch a woman struggle to change her own tire in the rain. Long gone are the shops that help a customer and neighbor. Update: The owner of the shop called. He was apologetic, kind, and I believe he hopes for better care of his customers. It means a lot that he took the time to reach out.

I was weirdly anxious about having to get an oil change and unsure about what additional services would be beneficial. I've only been a car owner for about 2.5 years and I ended up with a car that looks nice but is a POS. Anyway, I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 9:30 and it wasn't as busy as I expected. Had no idea what I was supposed to do, but the guys caught on quickly and directed me to a lane. Sid (who I learned is the manager) came over to check what I needed. I didn't get the other guys' names but everyone was very kind and patient, even when I had no idea how to pop the hood of my own car. I already had a plan to greatly increase the frequency of my oil changes as a band aid for the issue with my engine so I went with the conventional oil option. They didn't try to upsell

I've been going to this Grease Monkey for over 3 years. They have some of the friendliest, hardworking, and amiable people I know. You can tell that one of their lead mechanics, Kevin, really cares about his customers. He pulled me in and showed me what was wrong so I could make an informed decision. I never get the impression that they are trying to scam me. In fact, their services are beyond generous. For example, they always do a quick vacuum of my car as courtesy whenever I get my oil changed, and they sometimes throw in other free services when you get other work done. These people are fast, knowledgeable, and reasonable. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I am writing this review based on a few times i have been to this business. The manager Sid, and Kevin are two of the most honest and thorough mechanics i have ever met. When i take my car there i feel like im having my uncles take care of it. Those two run this business exceptionally well with a high standard of integrity. They provide a much needed service with honesty and extensive knowledge. I will be a customer for as long as those two at this location. Thank you very much for the multiple services this business provided correctly.

Always top notch costumer service. They are always nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. They will explain things / answer questions with kindness and ease, which I always appreciate. I enjoyed my conversation with the manager, Sid. He was really authentic and honest and it made me happy to support them while getting the work I needed done! In and out of there in an hour on a busy Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend.
