Great American RV SuperStores – Hammond

We are proud and happy owners of a beautiful used Class B sprinter by Midwest Automotive Designs. Mike Dowell was our salesperson and he was just awesome. We initially came to just look around as we were thinking of renting a sprinter to transport our elderly parents. Mike showed us new and used and once we saw how affordable they could be, we decided we might buy. Mike showed us a beautiful 2017 Airstream but it was on hold for someone already and after they came to pick it up, I asked Mike to look for another used one just like it. Instead he found us this lovely 2022 Mercedes Spinter and sent me tons of pictures and videos. I ended up paying for an independent inspection which came back with 150 page report and 140 pictures and they could find NOTHING wrong! We were so happy!

We are first time camper owners (previously rented for two vacations and fell in love) so this whole industry is new to us, but this company is top-notch with their communication, customer-service, explanations, and post-sale follow up. They must only hire the best, most professional, super-friendly staff.... Our salesman Dale Burns was wonderful, answering all of my questions and helping with the daunting process of flying to this location and driving back 17 hours home (it was a great deal and we have nothing like this super-store in PA!) We just brought our first camper trailer and Great American RV in Hammond La made this experience wonderful. Thank you Warren, Pete, Ryan (Technician), and all the staff that was involved. All of you were absolutely fabulous. We truly appreciate all of you. Pete went the extra mile to help us with the tow hitch by coming next door to our storage unit to help us and give us some tips. I'm halfway home from supposedly taking delivery of a new to me 2018 Tiffin 37BH Coming from Virginia to Hammond, Louisiana Great American RV Superstore. Obviously 16 hours away I had to take their word and blurred photos that it was a nice clean unit. I'll attach some pictures of just the exterior highlights of how they think "take delivery ready" is. The interior wooden door to the washer and dryer was hanging off the tracks almost on the floor and the shower towel rack was rusted and hanging. They tried to show me 4 other RVs since I'll be driving 30+ hours round trip but nothing else worked. Just like Sanford and Sons, they salvaged and took parts from 10 other RVs to try to get this one out the door.

The Service Department experience at Great American RV was exceptional. The service manager, Alex Knapp, kept me informed throughout the entire process. He performed our needs and special requests in a professional manner. I would highly recommend Great American RV.
