GT Transmissions

Like most motors when you have transmission problems, its shroud in mystery. however, Michelle and Matt did a great job explaining the issues and a clear path to remedy them. They worked with me and the extended warranty company to find the best solution. When I got the car back it runs like brand new. I also did not feel pressured in any way and their timing and pricing exceeded my expectations. I absolutely recommend them for even the simplest transmission tasks up to a major transmission overhaul, which is what I had done.

I just want to mention that I have been working on cars for my entire life except transmissions. I brought my 2020 Highlander in for a whining noise in the transmission. I spoke to Michelle and Matt, The owners of the shop. Their customer service was great, very friendly, knowledgeable, explaining the problem and repair needed. The car was finished in reasonable amount of time and it runs great. The car shifts smoothly ,,no issues. I will refer this shop to everyone I know.They did excellent work on my car. They were friendly, helpful and professional.

Matt and Michelle are my siblings, but don’t mistake this review for family bias.. here’s why: Recently while visiting me in Florida, my van broke down; Matt immediately diagnosed it, called Michelle to track down parts, and fixed it right there in my driveway. That kind of dedication isn’t something you just turn on and off, it’s who they are. The execution was without hesitation and operates like a well-oiled machine. They care and they know what they are doing. Every customer gets their same full support.

I brought my car here and explained that I was having transmission issues, and that I previously had a check engine light with codes P0500 and P0720. At first, they told me they didn’t notice any transmission problems, but they still replaced a sensor and charged me $250. Less than 100 miles later, the same issue came back—along with the check engine light. I brought the car back for a second time. They told me to bring it in on Wednesday, which I did. I called several times to follow up, but it took them almost three days just to check my car. In the end, they told me I needed a full transmission replacement for around $3,000 + or a rebuild for $1,200 +. I decided not to go through with the repair and took the car to another mechanic. I had an issue with my rear differential and the team at GT Transmission’s were awesome with replacing it and they even held onto my vehicle for 3 weeks after the repair because of a death in my family, Michelle was so understanding. They also rebuilt a transmission for my family van a year and a half ago and it’s still working great. I would highly recommend them for car repairs! Thank you Michelle and all the guys !!!!
