I recently took my box truck to Hawaii Truck Parts for a transmission service and oil change. The initial drop-off went smoothly, but the communication and service from there on were incredibly frustrating. I was told it would take a weeks for the basic services to be completed. When I called to check on the status, the receptionist informed me they were out of the necessary filter. I explained that I also operate a mechanic shop and the importance of scheduling and parts availability. If they couldn't complete the work in a timely manner, I expected a call to reschedule, rather than having my vehicle sit idle for weeks with no clear timeframe for completion.
