Hayworth Tire & Auto Service

Mason is awesome. After going to Free Service Tire in Boones Creek three times with no luck, speaking to foreigners who aren’t even local with their phone service, and no attendant at the desk….I was so gracious to find Mason and Hayworth Tire in Johnson City. They answered the phone locally, spoke English as a first language, changed my tire and installed my new one. All FOR A MUCH LOWER PRICE THAN FREE SERVICE. Also learned their prices were much lower ($80 per tire) than what I have been paying on tire rack.com. With Mason and his staff’s outstanding service (did I mention how quickly they worked?) they just earned a customer for life.

I'm sure the staff is super friendly, generally they have been when I've been there. However, a twisted brake line is where I draw the line for "being friendly" Hayworth's spent what seemed to me to be 3-4 hours trying to get two lug nuts loose. I was sitting by myself in the lobby the entire time. Eventually, they came and told me they would likely break and replace them. That's fine, I understand. We drove on a twisted brake line for almost a week straight, 60 miles each way up and down through winding mountain roads on our way to a customer in Butler. I still think about how lucky we are that it broke in our customer's driveway and not travelling 60 miles per hour downhill. It is a complete failure in every way that this could happen. I purchased tires here previously. When my tire sensor light came on, I went back by. They were able to take me in right away. A slow leak was discovered in one of the tires. They removed it, repaired it and checked the air pressure in all the tires and did a visual inspection. Just part of the really great service after the sale with this company. I will continue to only buy tires with them.

I took my car there today to have my tires rotated. I paid and left, when I got home I noticed it looked like they had not been. The other night I curbed my drivers side front tire (the reason for the rotation), I have 3 tires of one brand and one that is different (the one odd tire was drivers rear), the tires on the passenger side have fingerprints and the drivers side do not.... so I went back up there and was told that they "watched the camera and the tires were rotated" they offered to rotate them back and that was all... I took my car to another shop in town and was told my lug nuts needed to be replaced because they "are swollen"... I was also told that "someone worked pretty hard trying to get them off". I didnt see nor was i offered to see the camera footage but I know with what I
