Driving New Orleans to Nashville in my late father’s ‘06 Chrysler T&C minivan at 2:30pm when both driver’s side brake calipers started dragging and getting super hot. Limped off on the remote Bogue Chitto exit and miraculously found Hayz Automotive behind the one and only gas station. The owner/mechanic was friendly and willing to undertake the repairs right away. Called for parts and methodically replaced both calipers for a fair price and I was on my way by 5pm. Mr. Hay is a very competent mechanic with an easygoing, good natured personality - so much so that this experience strengthened my faith in humanity’s willingness to help others especially in times of need.
