Helfman River - Jeep

Lost my trust almost immediately. I brought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee in for a diagnostic on a driver-door sensor. Without my authorization, they installed a latch and pressured me to pay to get my car back. The “repair” made the door harder to close, added loud wind noise, and my car was returned dirty with chalk/grease marks and even tools left inside. I brought it back multiple times over 10 days, and it still wasn’t fixed. The trust breach is the real story. Once I finally got my car back, dashcam footage showed the mechanic took my car off-premises for personal errands (drugstore, bank, grocery store) on two separate days, without my permission. I've received excellent service for my 2023 Rubicon. My service consultant, Jorge Fernandez has always been helpful and I get excellent communication throughout the servicing process. The women at the cashier's desk are always friendly and greet me with a smile.

Incorrect Diagnosis. Overpriced. I brought my Jeep in for a diagnosis for two issues that I had been occurring for the past few months with my battery and coolant pump system. To start off the Service Tech showed up an 30 min late to a scheduled appointment, so a different service tech had to take my car in. They then took 3 days to tell me they performed two tests and determined I needed a new engine for $12k to fix one of my issues and the battery was determined to not be an “issue”. When I picked up the Jeep, the battery died even though it was determined to be not an “issue.” I took my Jeep to a different service shop to get a second opinion. The other Service shop suggested a fix for the battery and coolant issue that was $400 and solved the problem immediately. This going to say, the
