Herb Yancer Performance Enterprises

I had the misfortune of hiring Herb “The Hack” Yancer to do plenum and manifold porting for me, and the results were extremely disappointing. He damaged both pieces—blowing through the side of a polished plenum—then tried to cover it up with a sloppy weld bead. When I asked him to clean it up, his response was, “Oh, you’ve got a show car.” My immediate thought was that nobody, regardless of the type of car, would ever want a big, ugly blob of weld left like that. He also claimed to have spent three days on the job, but based on the quality of the work, it looked more like three hours. I went in expecting the professionalism of an experienced fabricator, but what I got was the carelessness of a shade-tree mechanic.

After being referred by a friend it is certainly nice to find a one stop shop that cares about the quality of their work.
