Herman's Auto and Truck Service

Had a worn front wheel bearing diagnosed by another shop, they said it wasn't too bad. We took a trip to Denver and back, double towing camper and boat, the front end was howling and intermittent vibration. I called Herman's yesterday tell him I was getting a bearing assembly, he said to bring it to him this morning, recommended doing both of them, I went got another bearing assembly and he got them both done by noon today! On a Monday I called and made an appointment for Wednesday morning to get a simple oil change, scheduled to be done by 1030AM. Wednesday morning, dropped off the car at 8:30AM as instructed, and they had no knowledge of my appointment. I was advised it'd be ready by noon for pickup. About 2:30PM I was called and rudely told to come get my vehicle because they were leaving for the day and they could only wait a few minutes (their business hours stated they would be open until 5PM). I was also told my oil change was to cost over $200 which was dropped to $179 when I protested (synthetic oil, oil filter, and labor). If you want your car back, DO NOT take it to Herman's. He's had our vehicle for THREE YEARS and refuses to complete the work since we pre-paid and were not provided any documentation (that's on us). If negative five stars was an option, that would sum up our experience with Herman's. If you're tempted to dismiss this review, watch his lot for a few months and see for yourself---vehicles rarely move around and almost never leave.

I took Hermin my truck a week before Christmas to have a high pressure fuel injection pump installed,he said no problem we can do the job,mind you this job is a 20 HR job he had my truck for over a week, Herma Calls me a few days after tearing my truck apart and tells me you need a new Turbo, I took his word for it and he ordered me a new Turbo which costed $3200, in the process of installing my new Turbo he claimed to have broken a expensive tool and tried to charge me for it,long story short my truck was running fine when I took it to him after him trying to install the parts I had took him he could not get it to start! Herman claims to have 20+ years in working on Diesels,his work said otherwise,I had to hire a tow truck to pick up my truck and take it to someone who knew what they were

My husband and I were on a road trip in our 1976 Ford Econoline, and our AC went out and the van started acting a little funny. We had been staying in White rock for a few days, and found Herman's online so we called that morning and he got us in. Him and his two guys were great! He was genuinely interested in our safety. In one hour, they fixed several things that we didn't even know needed fixing. Great prices, and great customer service. We definitely recommend going to them for any trouble at all!
