Hertz Car Rental - Dover - S Dupont Highway

Terrible experience. To start I had stopped into this location and called ahead of time to specifically request an all-wheel-drive vehicle. When it was the day of our rental and we picked up our vehicle, it was not all wheel drive. They also started to clean the vehicle while we were still there waiting. We did ask for an all-wheel-drive vehicle again which we were given then it was not clean as well.. Drop off was easy due to the lockbox drop box but when we got the explanation of our charges, we noticed that we were charged for insurance that we had declined. Also was told that we only had to bring the car back with 50% gas which we did and we were still charged for 4 gallons of gas. My advice is to go to a different company or at least do not deal with India at this Camden Delaware loca

I unknowingly booked a car through a third party. That company scheduled my appointment for 5pm at the Hertz Salisbury location which closed at 5 and was closed all weekend. Needless to say I did not receive that vehicle. Luckily the Dover location was open at 9am Saturday. I was meet by Courtney and Tony who kindly listed to all of my frustrations. In no time I had the keys in my hand and was on my way. I’m so very thankful for them! There is no other place I will go from now on. I highly recommend a RAISE!!! Or a bonus for both!!!!!

Absolutely worst experience. No wonder your Google Reviews are so low. . 1st time customer and I wont return. Rude customer service. Car not ready when I arrived and I had somewhere to be. Car was filthy inside and out. Some spills in cup holder, crumbs or something on floor (mind you this was AFTER they claimed to clean it.) Bird poop on windshield and passenger window. Fuel not on what it was supposed to be on. Car is scratched and dented but no one walked around it with me to annotate damages. Enterprise has this company beat leaps and bounds. Only reason I chose hertz was cause enterprise did not have a specific size suv available for date and time needed. If I knew this was going to be my experience, then I would have taken a tiny compact car from enterprise. Anything to avoid this e

Thank you to Indiya for assisting me with my endeavors regarding a short notice rental. She accommodated my needs when my license was compromised. She navigated through the upper tier supervisor to process my documentation for a rental. Agent Indiya showed me how to operate the newer EV onboard syste. She reassured me that I would not have anything to worry about and I was able to continue with my journey a very happy customer. Courtney was AWESOME!!! Extremely friendly and very professional. She was able to process my rental timely, although the computer system were out of the ordinary slow. Very pleased with her service delivery As a result, I plan to use Hertz again for my next business and personal car rental needs.
