Hertz Car Rental - East Brunswick - Route 18 South Hle

My rental experience at Hertz in East Brunswick has been very positive to date. I've was helped by Dustin most of the times I've been there, and he's always knowledgeable and very helpful! I usually have unending questions and sometimes last minute changes to my reservation, and Dustin is always patient and kind. I really appreciate good customer service, and without a doubt, I get it each time I rent from this location. I'll also add that they have really nice cars at great rates! I had a very disappointing experience at this car rental location. The representative assisting me could not provide basic information about available vehicles, rates, or whether the cars matched what was listed online. I was told they were new and that no one else was available in the store to help. While I understand that employees may be in training, customers should still be able to receive clear and accurate information. There was no guidance, no clarity, and no support, which made it impossible to move forward with a rental. Management should ensure staff are properly trained and supported before being left to work alone. I left without renting and would not recommend this location.

I went to the Hertz rental in East Brunswick inside Branning Collision. I needed a rental due to my vehicle being involved in an accident. Justin helped me out with a Hyundai Elantra. He was cordial and professional. He tried to get the other insurance company to cover the rental but they won't cover it until they finalize the claim. He told me when insurance is ready to cover rental he will switch the rental to insurance company so they pay the cost. The rental is great

My experience at this location was extremely frustrating. The manager, Dustin Gogats, was unprofessional and unmannered throughout the process. I was charged for both a hold and a day’s rental, but never actually received a vehicle. When I tried to resolve the situation, Dustin attempted to charge me again for switching to an “upgrade,” even though I never had a car to begin with. His dismissive attitude and lack of transparency made the entire experience stressful and unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated, overcharged, and completely dissatisfied. If you want fair treatment, clear communication, and professional service, I recommend avoiding this location.
