Hertz Car Rental - Fort Worth - Taylor Street

this place was an absolute lifesaver. we had our car in the shop for almost two months after an accident, called through state farm and got set up + picked up with a rental within ~45 mins. every single employee we interacted with was extremely friendly and willing to help, even with us having to extend our rental multiple times over and over. cant thank these guys enough for the help 💚

DO NOT PREPAY YOUR RESERVATION, unless you’re 100% sure on your return date. Fantastic experience with the branch and staff, they were quick and did a marvelous job, vehicle was immaculate! However, I did prepay for my reservation which they have apparently revised their “terms and conditions” for this. If you return your vehicle early they just keep all your money, this is what their AI told me over the phone, since I couldn’t speak to a human. This is due to them giving you a special rate for the days, I guess it’s really difficult to just go back and prorate it for the days you did use it, which they used to do. WARNING: Take your own photos of the vehicle, mileage and gas before driving off site! Honestly, what is this business doing? They put customers at risk of being held liable for damages not caused by them. They were too busy to inspect the car with me before or after and only promised photos later. The photos, taken in a dark garage, were inadequate for assessing any vehicle’s condition. This sloppy process is completely unacceptable practice for a professional rental service. I found dozens of scratches and dings that were not visible in the photos they sent me. The car looks mint condition in the dark, but outside in the light that is not the case AT ALL. Do not rent from this location. Set up a rental on-line and arrived for pick up only to be told they didn't have any cars. No other options were given even though Hertz own terms of agreement state that they will assist with finding another location. There was a text of cancellation sent at 8:00 which was the pick up time. The staff blamed the corporate office for the booking instead of assisting with another booking. When I called the corporate office the booking still shows as active and now you can't get anyone to answer the phone at this location!

Probably one of the best rental car counters I have been to in awhile and I travel a lot. They really try to speed up check in and drop off. Let you pick your own car once they tell you what they have in stock and very friendly and informative. I would recommend this place if you need a short term or long term rental for in town.
