Hertz Car Rental - Gulfport - Gulfport-biloxi Regional Airport (GPT)

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at the Hertz location at Gulfport–Biloxi Regional Airport. When I arrived at the counter, there was no customer service representative present and no sign indicating when they would return. I waited for 45 minutes before anyone came back to the counter, and when the representative finally arrived, he did not offer any apology for the delay. Additionally, I was given a truck that I did not reserve and was not comfortable driving. My reservation was for an economy car. I returned the keys immediately without driving the vehicle off the premises, yet I was still charged for a full day. I ultimately had to rent a car from another company due to this inconvenience. This experience reflects very poor customer service.

Miss Xavier (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly!) was so delightful. She really helped me out when my rental experienced a flat tire. Very professional and quick, an absolute asset to the Hertz company!

Guy at the Counter was great; cheerful, helpful, and amusing. Had rented a Kia K5, they only had Nissan Sentra - not the counter guy's fault. They had no local maps (I prefer paper maps for their inclusion of surrounding area); I have Waze. Perfect? No. More than Acceptable? Yes.

I looked at their website for rental options, noted the prices, and then took a phone call with my insurance company. An hour later the same exact car had trippled in price, so I called and spoke to someone in the store. He said thats normal, so I said ill take my business elsewhere and he thanked me for doing so. I suggest everyone else does the same, this business model doesnt seem to be in customers best interests.

Pick up was great. They did upgrade due to the fact they were sold out of my reserve class of vehicle. However they put us in a Chevy track and this thing is not as good on gas mileage as it should be. It also does not drive as well. It pulls to the right. I would’ve much rather had a different vehicle.
