Hertz Car Rental - Haverhill - Main Street

It took a while to get a hold of someone over the phone when I initially needed my rental, but once I did the person who helped me was awesome. I rented through my Insurance and Hertz was proactive in reaching out to me and communicative over the 2.5 weeks I had the rental. Very friendly too.

This location saved our trip after multiple other locations were sold out and we needed a car. The woman who was working on 12/26, I wish I had gotten her name, but she was so incredibly helpful and kind and was able to secure us a car at the last minute. She was the only worker and did an incredible job handling the rush of customers with a great attitude and so much patience. Give that woman a raise!!

The car was very dirty when we picked it up. It was a Kia K4- confusing controls, heat was too hot or too cold, no lock button on the key fob. Seats were very uncomfortable. Won't drive another Kia. Dropped the car off at the end of the rental and my Visa sent me a text alert about an extra $500 charge from Hertz. Called the Haverhill Mass Hertz store many times and couldn't get a person. Hit operator and the phone system hung up on me many times. Outrageous. Logged into my Hertz account and there was nothing there about the charge. Was finally emailed a bill with a $500 outside car wash charge. This is the most extremely ridiculous and excessive charge ever. There's a car wash next door for $5. I had a very disappointing experience with this location. I had a reservation for 9:00 AM, but due to a “system issue,” the employee gave me a broken car and then delayed my pickup until 11:00 AM. Before leaving, I clearly confirmed that I would return the car within 6–8 hours, and the employee confirmed that I could return it before midnight the same day. I returned the car at 9:00 PM that same day. Despite this, I was charged until Monday, which is completely incorrect. When I called the office to resolve the issue, the same employee disconnected the call without providing any explanation or help. This situation was very unprofessional and stressful. The 2 girls that run the show are awesome however they need more help over there at this location. They can’t do it all…… Also because they are taking returns putting out rentals and cleaning cars the day I was there. My return was stated as late when I was actually 45 minutes early but girls were too busy to log me back I. And I was charged $12 don’t seem like much but I see others have commented on this so please get them some help and log card in when they are returned Mostly reimburse me my $12 Thank you
