Hertz Car Rental - Parkville - East Joppa Road

If not for its proximity, this Hertz would be a hard pass going forward. When I brought up a discrepancy about fuel being under the indicated level (100%) on the rental agreement, they made a point to state that if I had brought it up prior, they would have just checked it in at 100% and falsified their records for the next renter…strange in-house policy, if you ask me. They also declined to credit/refund the overage in fuel. Granted, it’s a difference of an 1/8th tank, but at a premium of $4.28/gal, you have to go on principle here. Overall weird behavior and unprofessional on the admin side. Other than that, the car was relatively clean and operable. Drove across four states and back without any issues. ★★☆☆☆

Extremely poor customer service. I arrived on time for my scheduled reservation and was left standing for over 30 minutes without any acknowledgment while the attendant handled multiple phone calls simultaneously. No greeting, no explanation, and no effort to manage customers in front of him. When it was finally my turn, the checkout process took far longer than necessary because the attendant continued taking phone calls while assisting me, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. What should have been a simple pickup became unnecessarily frustrating. The drop-off experience was even worse. I had a genuinely great experience at this Hertz location. Princess and Tyrone were outstanding from start to finish, friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. They made the entire rental process smooth and stress-free, and the vehicle was clean, ready, and exactly what I needed. It’s rare to find customer service this consistent, but Princess and Tyrone truly set the bar. Because of them, this was one of the best rental experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend the Hertz at 1763 E Joppa Rd, Parkville, MD. I’ll definitely be returning to this location.

Was told they could not locate the returned rental- after I explained that I out the keys in the manager’s hands and coming back on site I was told the car has been checked in it’s just not in property and received charges for two extra days. Top of this the gas was not full, interior dirty and windows filthy. Will be contacting BBB

I have been a Hertz member for over 30 years. This includes many years as a Gold Member. I just had one of the worst experiences renting a car with them ever. On Friday, 12/19 my wife and headed to Hertz at Newark Airport. Since the desk was relatively open we stopped there because I had added the "toll feature" to my car for this trip. I did this because on two previous car rentals, even though I had an EZ pass with me, Hertz had charged me for tolls and added on a convenience fee. The woman at the counter told me she'd take the "toll feature" off my car and if I kept the box on the windshield closed, we'd be fine.
