Hertz Car Rental - Philadelphia - Presidential Boulevard

Believe the previous reviews. I didn't and paid the price. I was lucky, I had a back up plan, called Enterprise Rental, who were amazing. Though I had a confirmation with Hertz, I trusted the website, supplied all my information, to make check in quicker, upon arrival 30 minutes early, no vehicle available. What was interesting, when asked, if there were any other Hertz locations that had any vehicles, I was told probably not, didn't even bother to check or make a call. Attempted to contact Hertz, Hertz supplied me the same website to find Hertz locations on my own. Hertz should be your last rental option.

Most unprofessional car rental company ever. First off i requested rental aday in advance and told agent i need car ready a day before because i work 7 days and its hard for me to go back and forth. They also said call us when you drop your car at shop and we will have a ride for you just call us on your way. I did that and it took them for ever to answer the phone and in top of that when i got to them it took them for ever to get me out which got me one hour late to work. Then i leave with the car because i am rushing to get to work, to find out the whole car smells like drugs/pot. It was so nasty my three kids got sick. Had to drive around with the windows open in this cold weather just to handle until replacing. Didnt want to go back to the same spot because they were so unprofessional.

I expect car rental places to take a very long time to check out, and to offer cars in the reservation that they don’t actually have available, making you pay the same rate for a poor substitute. This place was no exception, but what made me write a review is that I was given a car with a quarter tank of gas and then shown by the agent that he had documented this in the rental checkout, and assured I only needed to return it with a quarter tank, and then charged for refueling after dropping off the car with more gas than it had to begin with.

Edwin customer services stink badly, he got way too much mouth in front of customers! His attitude as if he’s the boss and he’s a worker like pipe down 💯 Richard is better to deal with! This is my last time renting with Hertz back to Budget I go!!!!

Avoid this place at all costs. They never answer the phone, can’t answer any questions, charges that are not accurate. Worst place I have ever rented a car from. Please trust will never use this place again.
