Hertz Car Rental - Pittsfield - Dalton Avenue

First time ever useing hertz due to my vehicle getting work done. I ordered a small sedan at the end it asked if I wanted to upgrade 89$ to a large sedan i opted yes that's OK. I arrived and was given a compact kia soul!!!!! Why did I pay extra for a larger car and was given a compact car? I think I should that extra money back. Only reason for two stars is it was very clean and I gave it a chance with the teenagers and they said it was just ok in size in the back seats..... not sure if I should get that extra money back or not

Don’t even bother. The customer service providers were rude unprofessional, and will never answer any of your questions. I was given a car with a rip in the front seat, smelling of rotting coffee , and bald tires in the middle of winter! I asked for a full-size vehicle or an SUV instead and the customer service person wouldn’t even acknowledge that I had spoken. I asked twice. I was given a sports vehicle in the middle of two blizzards. When I returned the car, I parked in front of the service doors, thinking I was being kind. The customer service person, the same one I took the car out with, screamed at me from the doorway. Don’t park here there are lots of free spaces. And then proceeded to mock me in the office when I was surrounded by other customers. He called me an illite

Never will I get a car from Hertz again particularly in Pittsfield Dalton Ave. Almost got killed with the car they gave me on my way home A little Kia Soul. I was getting an AWD paid for (my own is in shop getting fixed) and they gave me a car to drive in a storm up to my home which is on a mountain that was horrible in snow. I had to call roadside at one point because I was stuck on the hill to my house. Had hazard lights on all the way. Was in tears! There was a jeep in parking lot at Hertz I originally had that I had already paid an additional day for and he said when I returned to check again for a different car "it needed an oil change". Being spiteful I'm pretty sure because I challenged a 2-day late fee they tried to tack onto my bill because no one on their end processed my card wh

I called and talked to Amber Mulhern who turned out to be a fantastic problem solver. Enterprise nearby had canceled two reservations within hours of scheduled pick up. I called Amber and she asked what we needed and figured out a last minute solution that was great. She had the car configured for our needs based on the conversation as well. Excellent service, great attitude and a « let me solve your problem » approach. Great!!

Do not make plans that require renting a car from this place. I made a prepaid reservation arrived on time to pickup to find an office full of irate people who had all been told the office overbooked by 17 cars and No One will be getting a car today and that nothing will be done to issue refunds or grt more cars locally we can all call corporate if we want. Total amateur hour business operation. Got a family member to drive me 1.5 hours to Avis in BDL to get a car.
