Hertz Car Rental - San Diego Downtown

When I came to pickup the car, they were extremely helpful which I really appreciated. When I dropped off the car, a different staff member told me the cars fuel should’ve been full, despite being told at pick up I only needed to bring it back with 15%. Now I’m being charged an extra 12.25 a gallon for them to fill it up. She showed me a picture of a full tank of gas on the car as ‘proof’ it was full, however when I picked up the car, I’m absolutely certain it was less than half full. But the white girl who checked in the car did not care, was rude and unhelpful, and caused me to have to spend even more money on these services. Everyone else was nice.

Unexpectedly, I needed a rental after a car accident. In full transparency Hertz informed me that I would have to pay a portion up front. I appreciated that, thank you. When I called for a follow up, they were very busy but the quality of service provided, did not waiver, The professional, pleasant, efficient and wonderful care I received was 👍🏽 great. They are Hospitality and quality service every time! They’re always busy at that location, but it’s a busy location, that Hertz has understaffed. However , you wouldn’t know that by the efficiency, quality of service and the time they take, to meet my needs and not care if I’m 100 % informed of cars available, add on insurance etc, that would make the rental experience safer and hasn’t added additional fees & last minute price changes . yeahoo ! i finally had a good car rental experience (at 41 years old) well it was bound to happen at some point, i suppose. LOL actually after searching the market for over a week, calling all sorts of places, even the hertz reservations dept, i finally found a location that would help me locate a hybrid. i think it was mira mesa. and they found that this location had a hybrid. i wanted a prius or niro, but the brand new camry hybrid would do, i guess. apparently its hard to find hybrid vehicles these days, or im not looking in the right places. hmm. anyway, i had the car for a couple weeks, and then, they extended my rental every time i called in. in the end, i had the car for 43 days total and drove it to 21 different states while casually exploring the eastern US countryside. the car w

I actually like this Hertz at this location. I'm going to miss Melissa of course but the other staff are pretty cool and nice. I appreciate how they make it a friendly swift process and love how when more cars are available I am offered options! I've been to other locations and they just give you a car and that's it! And if you ask for other options you're met with an attitude! With that being said, the San diego-Tijuana airport location is terrible!! Would not recommend at all!
