Hertz Car Rental - Seattle - Aurora Avenue N

I certainly saved money renting here instead of from the airport, but the experience was far from the experience I expected. I did not read reviews before selecting this rental location. Instead, I filtered my options based off of proximity to the 1 Line light rail stops so that I could avoid the Ship Canal Bridge closure backups on I-5. Rental Pickup: My experience receiving the car took twice as long as I expected it to, but I drove away with the car I paid for that was in good, clean condition. While I was checking in, the lead (manager?) employee was back-seat driving for the junior employee who was on the phone with a customer asking questions. I returned my 30 day rental today and was informed that there would be a $400 fee because there was pet hair in the car. I was never informed that pets are not allowed in this location's rentals. My contract does not state no pets. My dogs ride in crates in the car, and I also placed a protective mat under the crates. There are signs at the front desk stating that no smoking is allowed, but no signs regarding the no pets rule. The counter person refused my offer to vacuum the car. She stated that she was the manager but refused to give me her name, or her manager's name, I was given a receipt for my return that belonged to another customer. I also watched the manager rudely decline to allow another customer to apply a different credit card to a rental contract that had just occurred. This

If Google allowed negative stars, this location would deserve far below zero. This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had with Hertz. The problems were not only with the vehicle itself, but with the lack of honesty, transparency, reasonable pricing, and professional customer service at this location. 1) They did NOT inform me that the car class I reserved was completely unavailable I had reserved a specific car class in advance. When I arrived, the staff did not tell me that they had zero vehicles available in the class I booked. They gave me a car without any explanation, making me believe it was the model I reserved. 2) After driving less than 30 minutes, I discovered serious safety issues The car they gave me—later claimed to be an “upgrade”—had extremely stiff brake

Not the best place to rent a car. I did it for convenience. Customer service is lacking, it's in a weird location and it smells inside. The cars are barely clean, the jeep I rented the parking brake needed service so the light kept coming on. Low scale operation. Side note if you go on to a toll road the will charge you a $19 service fee. So say the toll is $7.50 you pay that plus the service fee. Keep that in mind. That got me with it, so I am letting y'all know.

This was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. I’m a Gold Member and usually get an amazing service, the service at this location was horrible. When I showed up to the location, the app said my car was ready, but when arrived they had no vehicles and never notified me prior. This location was 50 minutes out of myway, if they would’ve called me. It would have saved me time and fuel driving to the location. The members at the counter were absolutely no help, so I called customer service and had to highly encourage them to contact other Hertz locations in the area to see if they had any vehicles available for us. Customer service had the audacity to tell me they could charge a cancellation fee when they’re the ones that didn’t have our vehicle available. This Hertz location and the
