Hertz Car Rental - Signal Hill - Cherry Avenue

I rented a vehicle here through my car insurance. I was offered a Toyota Highlander and against my first mind I accepted as the associate told me the gas mileage was great as it was newer model. This was not true. So I returned the vehicle to swap it out for something with better gas mileage. Later that day I discovered the horn did not work or the AC. It was about 4:30pm when I called to inform them of the issue. I was told to call the road side assistance number to get an incident number so I could take it to the nearest airport location and have the car swapped out. The nearest airport to me would be Long Beach. The associate called Long Beach Airport Hertz and told me they could not reach anyone by phone and I would need to drive the car to LAX to swap out the car. This obviously was

On August 19th, I rented a vehicle to drive to Arizona. On my way, I encountered a terrible rain storm. Little did I know that the rubber on both windshield wipers were dangling off the metal. I had to drive five miles to the next exit with low visibility at about 20 miles per hour to get me to a safe location. I experienced a very dangerous situation. This vehicle should have been inspected correctly before being rented out. I reported the issue to the Hertz desk in Arizona when I dropped off the vehicle. I will be making a formal complaint to Hertz.

As a Gold member, renting with Hertz has always been a very pleasant experience. I’m a regular customer at the Signal Hill location and I experienced great service today with Tisha. She is extremely friendly and spent time helping to ensure my satisfaction with my rental. I always look forward to seeing her when I visit this location. I would also like to give a shout to Cameron. I didn’t interact with him much during this specific visit but, from prior rentals, I’ve appreciated his attention to detail and his willingness to answer all of my questions. As he is on the taller side, he has even helped me to take photos where I can’t reach. As long as the customer service continues at this level, I expect to remain a loyal customer.

I had an extremely negative experience at this location. Not with John but with Kameron. Kameron is a rude, unprofessional employee with an unfriendly, condescending tone who hangs up on you when you call to complain about the mistreatment. I would use a different Hertz location if you can, but if you must use the signal Hill location, deal with John but definitely not Kameron. He is pure evil.

Excellent customer service. Fast and courteous assistance. Good selection of vehicles. The young lady at the counter is a joy to work with. She always leaves me in a good mood.
