Hertz Car Rental - Tacoma - S Tacoma Way

I reserved a vehicle online and prepaid for the vehicle two weeks in advance. I spoke to their staff on the phone about this vehicle and when I needed it. The day of I get there and they tell me I cannot rent the vehicle because I do not have a major credit card. This was a massive inconvenience and they charged me $145 to cancel the rental. I am a soldier PCSing overseas and shipping my personal vehicle the next morning. Already spending a lot of money on this PCS just to have this company take more money from me. Do not rent from Hertz. The link they sent me below is no help. Seems like a auto-reply and very disingenuine. Very unfortunate experience.

Absurd cleaning fees here, be very aware that they charge $200 if they have to vacuum the vehicle. I have never had to worry about a bit of dirt or grit left over, but they claim this took them "a long time" to clean.

I’ve been to this Hertz location many times, and the service is always excellent. The staff are super friendly, the cars are new and well-maintained. Manager Jen always makes the process easy. Highly recommend!

Rented a truck for a trip to the east side of the state and loved the experience. Here's the thing about the other reviews; did you check your attitude? I doubt all these customers were polite or nice. We also stopped and used $2 to vacuum out the truck before taking it back so we didn't end up with any fees. It takes $2 and a few minutes to be courteous and accountable. These bad reviews are lazy. I found everybody pleasant and easy to work with. Will rent again here for sure!

I have been coming to Tacoma location for years. They are always professional and polite. Also quick and smooth check in and out with my rental. They have a great team under Jen. Jen is awesome!!!! Good job Tacoma Hertz!
