Hertz Car Rental - Toledo - North Reynolds Road

I will never go back. I drove30 minutes to the location to review the selection of vehicles that was offered online, on Saturday morning, 2 day prior to wanting to rent a vehicle.. I tried to call several times before stopping in, nobody answered, so I took a drive to see what they had. Once I did arrive. I waited at the desk for someone to come to the desk to assist me. I asked about renting a vehicle for the following Monday. I was told that they have nothing available. All of the vehicles have already been rented. I questioned the availability because online they are showing several vehicles available. I was told. You can't go by what the web site says, thats why I need to come in ahead of time to see what is available. I will never waste my time with this Hertz car rental.

If I could leave a review without a star that is exactly what I would do. This location doesn’t even deserve a star. Every time we try to rent a car from here something goes wrong. This last time, after making the reservation and driving an hour to pick the car up, we were told there were no cars available and that there was nothing they could do about it. The women we were dealing was not only rude by condescending as well. Im not sure if she realizes most of her job is customer service. She wouldn’t even help us get a refund, we had to contact online support to do so, who called her. We may only be one customer, but we will never rent a car from here again. It’s not even the fact there was magically no cars available, it was how the woman spoke to us.

Deeply disturbed being called a liar. The lady came out to the rental shaking her head each time she opened the door and said “there was a dog in here”. I said no, I have pets but they were not in the car. (I didn’t even allow myself liquids during the rental…). She was going to charge me a $150 cleaning fee but I asked if I could take it to a car wash vacuum and she said yes. I asked if there was as anything else that I needed to take care of and she wouldn’t answer me. She said she “didn’t know what happened to that car” and “there was a dog in there”. When I returned, there was another customer at the counter and she said that I could just drop the keys off: I said no, you’re going to look at it again. It took 5 minutes to vacuum out. Had a reservation, got my confirmation over text and email , rushed to be there before they closed and was told no cars available. No other options were even discussed. I needed to leave tonight but now I will have to wait until the morning. 2nd time hertz has dropped the ball, only this time it was an family emergency. Can say that I'll never visit another Hertz location again. They have lost my business. Enterprise it is. Got their corporate customer service line and it's all AI. When you can finally get to a live person, you can't understand them and they can't do anything anyway (except say I'm sorry over and over in a foreign accent).

We made a reservation a day ahead. We go in first thing in the morning and the lady at the counter says we dont have any rentals. Very rude and unprofessional. I needed a rental for a business trip and they let me down. LUCKILY the real professionals at Enterprise took care of me that same day. Just a few minute drive from this unprofessional place.
