Hertz Car Rental - Whittier - Whittier Boulevard

Jason Rivera takes customer service to a new level. I’ve rented from the Whittier location twice now and each time he exceeds my expectations. If Hertz could only clone him, just kidding, he obviously loves serving people and went out of his way to me my rental needs. Thanks Jason! You made my day just a little easier.

They are extremely unclear and not upfront about what charges you could possibly incur upon return. Manager Jesus is extremely rude and immediately came out with an attitude before even understanding why we were upset. We paid $618 for an suv and I paid extra for the liability. The total for the car with deposits and everything was well over $800. We have dogs but never bring them in our rental cars because we don't want them to mess them up. However, our clothes and belongings have pet hair and no matter what we do, to clean and remove it all from every single item is impossible. I was under the impression that paying for liability meant I could bring the car back in any condition - those were the words of an employee there. I just rented the weekend of Oct 25, 2025. I almost cancelled due to all the bad reviews. This place cannot be any more opposite than the bad reviews. It was first class easy all the way and no issue whatsoever with my AAA booking either. I will be back . Car was awesome also.

Had an 8:00 am reservation for a car. They wanted us to drive to another location 20 minutes away to get a car, or wait for a driver to drop off a car. We waited an hour and the offered us an electric car to drive to another location to get another car but cut the deal here. They knew prior to closing that they had not cars. No call to warn us, no discount. Asked for district managers name and number but were refused. This place is unprofessional. I used to work for Hertz so I know how things should work. Awful treatment.

By far the worst experience in car rental ever. Car was empty no gas, dirty on the outside, find power bars in the car, and the seat belt was cut out in the rear passenger seat. No wonder this location had a low rating i exchanged cars and it was still dirty on the outside. I'll not comeback here.
