I’ve lived in North County SD my entire life and this is by far the best auto shop in town! Jake is extremely knowledgeable on anything mechanical and has helped me out with work trucks, classics and off-road vehicles. Will continue to use and refer Herzog automotive to anyone looking for a great shop.

As a woman who isn’t very knowledgeable about vehicles, I’ve unfortunately been put through the wringer before with unnecessary repairs and inflated bills. It can be incredibly frustrating and discouraging to feel like you’re being taken advantage of. Jake completely changed that experience for me. He’s the first mechanic I’ve ever walked away from feeling genuinely respected and not pressured into paying for something I didn’t need. I was previously told my car would cost over $2,000 to fix. Jake took the time to properly look at it and explained that it was simply misfiring and just needed some specific cleanings and a good tune-up. I went to Herzog the mechanic shop specificality with European cars to fix an issue with my car the Mercedes I took it to several mechanics shops unfortunately they failed to fix it or know what was wrong with it but I got referred to Herzog shop and he found the issue same day and it has been fixed , I was very happy and satisfied with the service and I recommend everyone who looking for an mechanic shop to go to Herzog. Jakob is a car genius! I searched high and low to find someone who could fix my charging port on my electric Fiat. Jakob knew just what to do and was such a pleasure to deal with. He also fixed a mystery sound on my daughter’s Honda. Incredible guy and incredible work!! A million thanks, Jakob!
