Heuberger Subaru Service

Our Subaru Ascent has been in the Subaru Service Department going on 2 weeks now, and honestly im frustrated and disappointed. Our Subaru is our reliable family car, with an elderly grandma and 2 kids it gets us from A to B, so not having it is really hurting us. My husband took our Subaru in because all the emergency lights came on, they told us it was the camshaft and it would be 1400 to fix, luckily for us it’s covered under warranty. So after a week, we go back to get our car, mind you we don’t live close. We live 40 min away, so this isn’t like a hop, skip, and a jump away. My husband drives the car from the Subaru service to his work, and once he pulls into his job, ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN! Oh, it’s also New Years Eve, so my husband plays phone/text tag with the person he’s work

Horrible customer service when I picked up my vehicle (like somethin out of a horror movie)! Then come to find out, now I'm missing a retention clip for my charge port. Called 5 times, then finally received the manager. He said he was going to check on some things real quick and get back to me. NO CALL BACK!!!

7 hrs for an oil change and diagnostic even with the mandatory appointment. Edit: The Subaru response below paints a picture that I was informed that it would take seven hours. I was not. Who expects a simple diagnostic and oil change to take that long? It wasn’t until after 5 hours that I finally got an answer that it was “still going to be sometime”. What’s the point of forcing appointments for an oil change when I can go anywhere and have the same things done for half the price in less than an hour.

Chris was amazing helping me get my vehicle serviced. I always enjoy my latte while I wait on my car. I love that Subaru always feels like a safe space 💛

I think they overcharge and you should ALWAYS get a second opinion on big projects. I've had a $2,500 job completed for $300 by someone else and another $2,500 job completed for $1,100 by another shop. They seemed unconcerned when I said I'd been ripped off before by them and was going to get a second opinion.
