I brought my driveshaft to this shop 1/27/25 to get a full rebuild. Ujoints carrier bearing etc.. for my 2015 Silverado. No contact until Friday afternoon. I had to reach out and ask about the status of my repair. This guy waits to call me at 3:45pm right before closing to let me know he stripped out the nut to the slip yoke. Comes up with excuses saying that “I can’t source this nut that it’s a dealer only part” blah blah blah. Tries to get me to order a new driveshaft. I call back Monday to get my parts back and cancel his “custom order” for a driveshaft. Took my parts to Inland Empire Drivelines in Corona. 4 hours later they call me saying that they were able to clean up the threads with a lathe and properly torque it back up. 4.5⭐ maybe more accurate, but the half star deduction would be due to something out of this shop's control, so 5 stars it is. I needed a strange combo put together for a large truck, and he probably has mostly passenger car stuff in stock, so he had to order some parts. Those parts were inevitably delayed by the manufacturer. Once the parts arrived, the driveshaft was completed very quickly. I was quoted 2-weeks and $xxx.xx. Due to the shipping slowdown, it ended up being 3-weeks & and a few dollars less than quoted, so it evens out. I let him know that I wasn't in a huge hurry, and I'm on a budget, so he worked with me on it. Probably saved him some valuable time on paint too, so all I had to do is spray it black & put it back.
